So far in 2024-25 financial year, the Pilbara Ports Small Grants Program has received nine applications from Pilbara community organisations, with funding provided to five of these which equated to $45,000 invested in the Port Hedland community.

Many applicants submitted proposals for the purchase of infrastructure and equipment that enabled the delivery of programs that enhance social inclusion and better mental health.

Pilbara Ports is committed to supporting eligible not-for-profit groups to make lasting and significant changes in the community.

Grants up to $25,000 may be allocated to projects that align with Pilbara Ports’ five values and four pillars under its  Community Investment Framework.

Proposals that are likely to be supported tend to involve the purchase of infrastructure and equipment that help reduce vulnerability and disadvantage in society, address outcomes under the Planet pillar or those that support First Nations engagement.

The next round closes on February 17, 2025.
