Working together for a sustainable future.
PHIC members work together with government and the community to ensure the ongoing prosperity of Port Hedland in balance with managing risk to community health and welfare and deliver social and economic benefits of the wider Hedland community.
The Port of Port Hedland is a vital piece of economic infrastructure for Western Australia and Australia and PHIC is a strong advocate for the Port and its users.
Port users create jobs, invest in social programs and training, support businesses, and pay royalties, rates and taxes that benefit the local, State and national economies.
PHIC recognises the shared benefits that will continue to flow if the Port is allowed to grow in a sustainable way. Our members support local jobs and thriving local businesses and ensure the ongoing prosperity of Port Hedland industry for the long term.
